How Windows 11 was available before release.

A New Operating Built and Developed by Microsoft. Released On October 5, 2021, But the Preview Version Was Available Before Official Launch.

About Windows 11

Windows 11 is the latest version of Microsoft's operating system that has garnered much attention since its announcement in June 2021. Although the official release date is set for October 5th, 2021, Microsoft has provided a preview version of Windows 11 to give users a taste of what's to come. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the Windows 11 preview and what it has to offer.

New Design and Interface

The first thing you'll notice about Windows 11 is its new design and interface. Microsoft has taken a minimalist approach to the design, with rounded corners, a centred Start menu, and new icons. The overall look is sleek and modern, with a focus on simplicity and ease of use.

One of the most significant changes is the Start menu, which is now centred and provides quick access to recent files and recommended apps. Users can customize the Start menu by adding or removing app icons, and the search bar has been moved to the top of the screen.

Improved Taskbar and Virtual Desktops

The taskbar has also received a makeover, with a new design and additional features. The taskbar icons are now centred and slightly larger, making them easier to click. Users can also add or remove icons from the taskbar and access new features such as Snap Layouts, Snap Groups, and Desktops.

Snap Layouts and Snap Groups allow users to organize their windows in various configurations, making multitasking more efficient. Users can create virtual desktops, each with its own set of apps and windows, making it easier to switch between different workspaces.

Widgets and Improved Settings App

Windows 11 also introduces a new Widgets feature that displays personalized content such as news, weather, and sports scores. The Widgets panel slides in from the left side of the screen and can be customized to show content relevant to the user's interests.

The Settings app has also been improved, with a new layout that's easier to navigate. The settings are organized into categories, making it easier to find what you're looking for. Users can also search for specific settings using the search bar.

Compatibility and System Requirements While Windows 11 introduces many new features and improvements, it also comes with some system requirements that may limit compatibility. The new operating system requires a 64-bit processor, at least 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It also requires a compatible graphics card with DirectX 12 support and a display with at least 720p resolution.

Users can use the PC Health Check app to check their system's compatibility with Windows 11. If your PC doesn't meet the system requirements, you may need to upgrade your hardware to use Windows 11.

How to download Windows 11 pre-released version

To download Windows 11 from the Insider Preview program, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for the Windows Insider Program by visiting the Microsoft Insider website and registering with your Microsoft account.
  2. Once you've registered, go to the Settings app on your Windows 10 computer and select "Update & Security."
  3. From there, click on the "Windows Insider Program" tab and click "Get started."
  4. Follow the prompts to select your Insider settings, including your level of access to new builds of Windows 11.
  5. Once you've completed the setup process, go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and click "Check for updates."
  6. If there is a Windows 11 build available, it will begin downloading automatically.
  7. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts to install the Windows 11 Insider Preview build on your computer.

It's important to note that Insider Preview builds can be unstable and may contain bugs, so it's recommended that you backup your important data before installing them.

Conclusion

The Windows 11 preview version gives users an early look at the new operating system's features and improvements. The new design and interface are sleek and modern, and the new features such as Snap Layouts, Snap Groups, and Widgets make multitasking and customization easier. However, users should be aware of the system requirements and compatibility limitations before upgrading to Windows 11.

Overall, Windows 11 appears to be a significant improvement over its predecessor, with many new features and improvements that make it easier to use and more efficient. It's worth checking out the preview version to see what's in store for the official release on October 5th, 2021.
